Well Done Soccer Academy Partnership

Young athletes are growing as both players and people. This program makes room for both.

The Whole Athlete Program

Kander serves as the independent counseling provider for Well Done Soccer Academy's Whole Athlete Program, which supports young athletes as both players and people. Within this program, counseling is gently focused on three areas.

Performance & Confidence

Performance anxiety, competition pressure, fear of mistakes, perfectionism, and building healthy athletic confidence.

Regulation & Neurodivergence

Emotional regulation, ADHD and autistic needs, sensory needs, overwhelm, attention, transitions, and discovering what helps each athlete function well within the sports environment.

Communication & Athlete Wellbeing

Self-advocacy, communicating needs, relationships with coaches and teammates, healthy boundaries, and navigating the overall sports experience.

This is a focused counseling program rather than Kander's full range of clinical services. Significant trauma treatment, crisis or high-risk care, and other needs outside this program's scope are not provided through the Whole Athlete Program.

Clinical fit

Participation in the counseling part of the program begins with an independent intake and clinical assessment by Kander. Together, we look at whether the Whole Athlete Program is a good clinical fit for your child.

If your child's needs fall outside the program's scope, Kander may share appropriate referral resources. This never prevents your child from continuing Well Done Soccer Academy's regular soccer training.

Coordination of care

One of the gifts of this program is thoughtful connection between counseling and the athletic environment. With a parent or guardian's written authorization, Kander may share limited, relevant recommendations with Well Done Soccer Academy, such as regulation strategies, sensory or environmental needs, communication approaches, performance supports, self-advocacy needs, or appropriate accommodations.

Kander may advocate for clinically appropriate supports, while Well Done Soccer Academy remains independently responsible for coaching and training decisions. Authorization does not give Well Done Soccer Academy open access to counseling records or session content. Kander keeps its own clinical judgment, confidentiality, records, informed consent, and professional responsibilities.

Independent businesses & enrollment

Kander Counseling and Consulting and Well Done Soccer Academy are separate businesses and independent providers taking part in a coordinated program. Each provides and bills separately for its own services. Families interested in the Whole Athlete Program begin through Well Done Soccer Academy, not through Kander.
